The basics
- What is it?
- MGF is a variant of IGF-1 that muscle makes after damage. Note: PEG-MGF is a pegylated (chemically modified, longer-lasting) version. PEG-MGF and plain MGF are not interchangeable — they behave differently in the body and the research on one does not carry over to the other.
Can a doctor prescribe this?
No. Pharmacies are not on record as being allowed to make this into a medicine.
The FDA has not approved this as a medicine.
